About

Built by people who hate spam

Spam ruined email once. We started PostedApi to make sure transactional mail never gives anyone an excuse to ruin it again.

Two engineers and a server, circa 2016
Our story

Two engineers, one rented server, zero patience

PostedApi was founded in 2016 by two engineers who kept watching their carefully crafted password resets and receipts drown in spam folders. Every provider promised deliverability; none treated it like engineering.

So we built the service we wanted to pay for: carefully vetted sending IPs, humans reviewing every new account, and support staffed by people who actually run the servers. Then we refused to build anything else.

  • Bootstrapped from day one — no investors, no growth-at-all-costs
  • Profitable early, and boringly stable ever since
  • One product, done properly: transactional email, nothing bolted on
Why we do it this way
The road so far

Nine years, one obsession

Slow by startup standards. Deliberately.

  1. 2016 Two engineers, one grudge

PostedApi is founded in a rented office with a single server and a simple bet: developers will pay for email that just lands.

  2. 2018 First billion delivered

Two years in, we pass one billion emails delivered. Word of mouth does the marketing; the inbox placement does the rest.

  3. 2021 Inbound email launches

Customers asked us to receive email, not just send it. Inbound arrives as parsed JSON webhooks — same API keys, same support team.

  4. 2025 Eight billion and counting

Over 8 billion emails delivered since 2016, on the same product we started with. Still bootstrapped, still profitable, still no spam.

What we believe

Three values we actually keep

Values on a wall are decoration. These show up in the product, the pricing and the support inbox.

Deliverability first

Every roadmap debate starts with the same question: does this help mail reach the inbox? If the answer is no, it waits — however shiny it is.

No dark patterns

No fake urgency, no nag emails about your "expiring" trial, no pricing that requires a sales call to decode. We ask for money plainly, once a month.

Support is the product

The people answering your ticket are the same people who run the infrastructure. Fast, technical answers aren't a premium tier — they're the default.

The team

Eight people, one product

Small on purpose. Everyone here ships, answers tickets, or both.
